Kansas offers a journey through imagination and inspiration, from walking the Yellow Brick Road at the Oz Museum to exploring the legacy of leadership at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential Library. Marvel at world-class space exhibits in the Cosmosphere, experience frontier life at the Boot Hill Museum, and stand in awe above the world’s largest hand-dug well at the Big Well Museum. Kansas is a land of discovery and wonder. Join us as we uncover its Hidden Gems.

Day 1:


Meals: Dinner

Today, we pick up our fellow travelers and arrive in Kansas City, MO. This afternoon, we pull back the wizard’s curtain for a special Kansas City experience. Our dinner tonight is the perfect opportunity to unwind and savor the start of our tour together.

Day 2:

Photo Courtesy of KS Tourism Our adventure begins today with a tour of the OZ Museum in Wamego, KS where we are immersed in the enduring legacy of The Wizard of Oz. Make sure you try out the tornado wind machine! Prepare to be amazed at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential Library & Museum in Abilene, KS. The museum offers immersive, interactive exhibits that bring Ike and Mamie’s stories to life. Did someone say chocolate? It’s time to treat yourself or take home some goodies from the HUGE Russell Stover Chocolate outlet store. Behind the scenes of the public eye, this is also the actual candy manufacturing facility. After this sweet day, we rest our heads in Salina, KS tonight.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

The Cosmosphere Space Center in Hutchinson, KS is a blend of dynamic exhibits and rare artifacts that bring space history vividly to life. Here we find ourselves on a captivating journey from ballistic rockets of WWII to the moon landings. This is the only museum outside of Russia with flown Soviet-era spacecraft. We are in for a fun afternoon and evening at the Boot Hills Museum in Dodge City, KS which is a living -history museum inviting visitors to step back into the rough-and-tumble days of the 1870’s-1880’s. Here you enjoy a country style dinner followed by a Long Branch Saloon Variety Show. We hang our hats for the night in Dodge City, KS.

Day 4:


Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

The Coronado Museum in Liberal, KS invites us to explore a rich blend of indigenous cultures, Spanish exploration, and Kansas frontier life, offering a fascinating look at the region’s layered history. We step inside a restored farmhouse with a visit to Dorothy’s House from a familiar classic tale. We enjoy lunch at a local favorite, the Crazy Mule in Greensburg, KS before visiting the remarkable Big Well Museum & Visitor Center, home to the world’s largest hand-dug well. Tonight, we settle in for our final overnight stay together in Wichita, KS.
