Day 1:

Our first day kicks off with a later than usual pick up since we will be stopping in Kansas City, MO, for the night in anticipation of our departure flight in the morning!

Day 2:

Meals: Breakfast

This morning, we board our flights and cross the pond! Our flight won’t arrive until early morning in London, so get some shut-eye inflight.

Day 3:

Meals: Lunch

Let’s get rolling with a coach tour of London which will include photo stops for places like Buckingham Palace, the center of many state events, and Westminster Abbey, the royal church that has stood tall since 1050 AD. You will also have some free time in the Covent Garden Area. We will make our home base in London for the next two nights!

Day 4:

Meals: Breakfast

As our tour of London continues, we’ll stop at the Hampton Court Palace, a stunning palace built by Henry VIII and open for tours to the public since 1838. Next on our agenda of “must see” is Zebra Crossing at Abbey Road. Why is this crossing so famous? Because it was made so by a little band called the Beatles. You may or may not have heard of them, but at one point in time, they were a big deal. After visiting the crossing, we’ll spend some time in Camden, the hometown of several other famous historical figures, like Charles Dickens. Then we’ll call it a day and head back to our hotel.

Day 5:

Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

On the outskirts of London, we’ll find the impressive Windsor Castle, which has been the home of 40 monarchs. The state rooms and various works of art create an atmosphere that is far from the cliché, dreary aesthetic portrayed on television. Afterward, we’re off to tour the town of Oxford, including a visit to its wonderful place of worship, Christ Church. Next, we travel to Blenheim Palace, which is filled with formal gardens and even a hedge maze. Tonight, we will rest our adventurous heads in Oxford.

Day 6:

Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

This morning, we will make our way towards Chester. While enroute, we will pause in Ludlow for free time to explore a cute town nestled in the English Countryside. We’ll enjoy a horse-drawn canal boat tour through Llangollen Wharf. Who needs a paddle when a horse can do the job? When our day ends, we will enjoy a two-night stay in Chester!

Day 7:

Meals: Breakfast

We continue our tour from Chester as we make our way to Caernarfon Castle. The stone towers are said to reference one of the best-known monuments of imperial Rome, the city walls of Constantinople. It’s a massive structure, a highlight of the Middle Ages and a great place to make some memories. Once we’ve explored the castle, it’s time to enjoy the Snowdon Mountain Railway, where we’ll ride to the summit of Snowdon.

Day 8:

Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

Our next stop takes us to the beautiful, historic city of York. And while in this famous city, we’ll stop at York Minster, where the stained-glass windows and handcrafted stone have drawn people to worship for over 1000 years. We will stay tonight in York before moving on to more exploring tomorrow!

Day 9:

Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

It’s time to head to Edinburgh, the capital city of Scotland! Before arriving in Edinburgh, we will stop in Hexham for some free time. During our first day in good old Scotia, we’ll reach another historic destination, Abbotsford, the home of Sir Walter Scott, the famous Scottish novelist, poet and historian. Now it’s time to call our hotel in Edinburgh home for the next three nights!

Day 10:

Meals: Breakfast

Our tour of Edinburgh continues. We’ll meet up with a local guide, who will walk us through The Royal Mile, a series of streets filled with fascinating architecture. Afterward, we finish our day with a tour of Edinburgh Castle. Standing in this famous stronghold of Scotland will transport you into a world of sieges, saints, and soldiers. You will enjoy a FREE afternoon to explore, shop or simply sit and reflect on the fact that YOU are in Edinburgh, Scotland!

Day 11:

Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

Once we’ve enjoyed breakfast at our hotel, we’ll begin our final full day of adventure. We’ll stop by the Rosslyn Chapel, which was built by Sir William St. Clair in 1446 and is filled with symbolism and beautiful stonework. Next, we’ll visit the town of St. Andrews. From St. Andrews, we visit our last castle, Glamis Castle. Here, you’ll gaze at grand decor and lush gardens. As our grand finale, we end our time in Scotland on a high note at the Spirit of Scotland Dinner & Show where we’ll be treated to delightful dishes and dancing!

Day 12:

Over the next two days, we’ll travel home, filled with culture and memories that can be shared with your family and friends.

Day 13:

Meals: Breakfast

We will arrive home today. Thank you for the memories, Cheerio Mate!
