As you climb aboard our coach, take a deep breath and leave your worries behind. Meet your travel companions today and get ready to make some memories! This evening, we’ll be staying in Effingham, IL.
Day 2:

The excitement builds as we continue north. This afternoon, we will be going to Saugatuck Dune Rides on the shore of Lake Michigan! Afterwards, we head to our hotel in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to get some rest before setting sail to the calming wonders of Mackinac Island.
Day 3:

Rise and shine for the beginning of our main event! This morning’s route takes us to Mackinaw City where we will have time to enjoy lunch on our own before being ferried to the most magical island on the Great Lakes. Mackinac Island is a land where the horse and carriage were never replaced by the automobile; family-owned lodging properties were never replaced by corporate hotels and fudge stores never replaced their 19th-century recipes with instant mixes. We will stay on the island for 3 nights. PS…did you know that Mackinaw City and Mackinac Island are pronounced the same way?
Day 4:

This morning, we enjoy a carriage tour of the island before arriving at The Grand Hotel for lunch. After our meal, feel free to explore the iconic formations, majestic churches and unique stores. Don’t forget to search for the secret garden! They probably won’t tell you where it is because – it’s a secret!
Day 5:

Guess what we have planned for everybody today? NOTHING! So, take this opportunity to relax, walk, shop, eat, rent a bicycle or do anything you want! There is no better place to explore and make memories!
Day 6:

We leave the peace of Mackinac Island to explore the beautiful Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park. We will be immersed in beautiful garden displays and sculptures throughout the park. Afterwards, we will take a short drive to our hotel for the night in Grand Rapids, MI.
Day 7:
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

We stop in Amish Country at Das Dutchman Essenhaus in Middlebury, IN, for a family-style meal and a little shopping before making our way closer to home. We will overnight in Springfield, IL.
Day 8:
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
On our way back home today, we will reminisce together, more relaxed than before about the good, old-fashioned memories we made on this trip Somewhere in Time.
