Pella Tulip Time

May 6-9, 2026 4 Days 4 Meals $100 Per Person Deposit Required Your package includes deluxe transportation, accommodations, all listed tour fees, and 4 meals. The Pella Tulip Festival Tour is back by popular demand with a few changes based on your suggestions. Pella, IA is a community rich in Dutch history that welcomes spring each year with a festival that celebrates their heritage. You’ll be immersed into the culture with authentic costumes, parades, a Dutch craft market, street vendors, murals, specialty food carts, street performances, and more! Oh! And tulips! More than 300,000 vibrant, blooming tulips! While on this tour, you see the Bridges of Madison County and the stunning, architectural gem, the Iowa State Capitol. This tour is certain to leave you with beautiful memories!

Day 1:

Today, we make our way to Des Moines, IA where we settle into our hotel we call home for the next 3 nights.

Day 2:

Meals: Breakfast

It’s time for the main event; Tulip Time!  Today we tour the Pella Historical Village which is a living history museum with over 20 historic buildings including log cabins, a blacksmith shop, bakery, general store, the childhood home of Wyatt Earp, and the Vermeer Mill which is a fully functional Dutch-style grain mill standing 124 ft 6 in tall, making it the tallest working windmill in North America! It was built in the Netherlands by millwrights from Hoogmade, dismantled, shipped, and reassembled on a four-story brick base in Pella during 2002. After a full day at the festival, we return to our hotel for the evening to rest for our continued adventure tomorrow!

Day 3:

Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

This morning, we have a guided tour of picturesque Madison County - the Covered Bridge Capital of Iowa.  We see the unique and iconic covered bridges as well as the beautiful landscape connecting them.  After lunch on your own, we make our way to Des Moines, IA for a tour of the Iowa State Capitol Building.  The building is an architectural gem with its unique design. Its expansive collection of statues makes it look more like an art gallery.  Tonight, we have dinner at the Machine Shed. This home-style restaurant has become a fan favorite with a farm-to-table meal that exceeds expectations!

Day 4:

Meals: Breakfast

Though the colorful festivities are over, may the memories we made continue to blossom. Today we bid “see ya next time” to our traveling family and we thank you for sharing this journey with us.
