Along the way, we visit fascinating museums, stroll historic river towns, and soak in the scenic beauty that has inspired generations.

Day 1:

Meals: Lunch

Along with our fellow river ramblers, we waste no time exploring the Mighty Mississippi River with our afternoon Riverboat Cruise aboard an iconic paddle-wheeler in St. Louis, MO for some of the best views of the Gateway Arch and river history! We rest in our St. Louis hotel for an even bigger adventure upriver!

Day 2:

Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

With the Mississippi River as it’s backdrop, the Buffalo Bill Museum in Le Claire, IA showcases the life of the legendary frontiersman Buffalo Bill Cody along with exhibits on the river life, Native American culture, and local history. Our main 2-day event starts tomorrow so get some rest tonight in our Le Claire, IA hotel.

Day 3:

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

It's time to board the Twilight Riverboat for an unforgettable 2-day cruise! We spend the day in comfort and style aboard this elegant, Victorian-inspired vessel. A favorite among travelers, the Twilight stands out with its powder-blue exterior, white railings, and three grand levels. Inside, find stained-glass windows, ornate ceilings, and timeless charm at every turn. As beautiful as the boat is, the real star is the scenery as we roll past dense forests, rugged cliffs, wildlife preserves, and historic bridges as we relax in rocking chairs on the open deck. All meals and onboard entertainment are included, making the journey just as delightful as the destination. Our first day concludes with an overnight stay at our hotel in Dubuque, IA.

Day 4:

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

After a filling breakfast at Tony Romas in Dubuque, IA, we board the Twilight Riverboat for our second day of scenery and splendor! If you were too busy admiring Twilight’s charming interior yesterday, today’s your chance to soak in the views! Keep your eyes on the river as we pass through two fascinating lock and dam systems that help our boat glide effortlessly between changing water levels. A pair of century-old railroad bridges can also be spotted swinging open just for us like a grand riverboat welcome! As the sun sets on our adventure, we dock back in Le Claire, IA.

Day 5:

Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

After a restful night, we make our way to Mark Twain’s beloved hometown, Hannibal, MO. You have time to explore the charming downtown and step back in time at the Mark Twain Boyhood Home and Museum before we set sail once more this evening on the mighty Mississippi. Enjoy a delicious, included meal aboard the Mark Twain Riverboat Dinner Cruise. Afterward, feel free to stroll on the deck, dance to lively music, or simply relax and soak in the river views. We wrap up our festive evening with a return to our hotel in Hannibal, MO.

Day 6:

Meals: Breakfast

As our journey winds to a close, we make one final meaningful stop at the National Churchill Museum in Fulton, MO. The museum offers a powerful look at the life and legacy of Sir Winston Churchill, including his famous “Iron Curtain” speech delivered right here in 1946. As we head home with enriched minds and memories made, we reflect on the scenic, peaceful Mississippi River, historic towns, and unforgettable stories.
