Day 1:

All aboard! Join your fellow travelers today as we begin our journey east to the Smoky Mountains. We spend tonight in Clarksville, TN.

Day 2:

Meals: Breakfast

The Incline Railway is a historic and scenic ride that takes you up the steep slopes of Lookout Mountain in Chattanooga, TN. Enjoy stunning panoramic views of the surrounding Tennessee Valley and the city of Chattanooga. Our next stop is Rock City on top of Lookout Mountain that features ancient rock formations, lush gardens, and sweeping views where you can famously see seven states. Our adventurous day ends at our hotel in Chattanooga, TN.

Day 3:

Meals: Breakfast

We are on “track” for memories today on the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway in Blue Ridge, GA! You have time to look around and have lunch on your own when our train stops in McCaysville, GA and Cooperhill, TN for a 2-hour layover before returning to the Blue Ridge Depot. This afternoon, enjoy free time to shop and have dinner on your own in the charming, quaint town of Blue Ridge, GA before turning in for the night.

Day 4:

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Who’s ready for a steam train adventure aboard the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad through the stunning Nantahala Gorge? As we travel, enjoy a picnic-style boxed lunch while taking in the breathtaking scenery on this 44-mile round-trip journey from Bryson City, NC. The route winds along the crystal-clear Nantahala River, crosses the dramatic Fontana Trestle Bridge, and ventures deep into a lush, river cut gorge framed by dense forested hillsides. We hope you are famished from our trek today because we are heading to a delicious meal at Granny’s Kitchen Buffet in Cherokee, NC. With full bellies and happy hearts, we settle in for the night here in our hotel.

Day 5:

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Today is a slower pace as we stroll the beautiful, landscaped acres of the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, NC. As you tour the Library, Memorial Prayer Garden and Ruth’s Attic Bookstore, marvel at the replica revival tents, artifacts, and personal memorabilia that chronicles Billy Graham’s life from his rural, dairy farm upbringing to his global ministry. Enjoy lunch during your visit at the Graham Brothers Dairy Bar. We reflect on the inspirational Journey of Faith as we turn in tonight in our hotel in Mt. Airy, NC.

Day 6:

Welcome to Mayberry! Well, Mt. Airy, NC to be exact. This town was the real-life inspiration for the fictional town of Mayberry. Today, we step back in time at Wally’s Service Station with Squad Car Tours, visit a replica of the Mayberry Jail and the Andy Griffith Museum with the world’s largest collection of memorabilia celebrating the life and career of Andy Griffith. As our day comes to an end, we overnight in Wytheville, VA.

“Well folks, looks like it’s time to head on back. We’ve had ourselves a fine time—shared some laughs, made some memories, and maybe even learned a thing or two along the way. Y’all come back now, ya hear?” Andy Griffith. Thank you for making memories with us. See y’all again soon.
