Day 1:


Meals: Lunch

“Over the River and through the woods…” to Lake Geneva, WI we go! After picking up our fellow Merry Makers, we settle in and get acquainted. Our first night together is in Springfield, IL.

Day 2:


Meals: Breakfast

At the Caterpillar Visitors Center in Peoria, IL, you explore immersive exhibits including a virtual ride in the bed of a 797F mining truck, hands-on simulators, and the historic Caterpillar Heritage Gallery showcasing machines from the earliest tractors through modern innovations. After getting settled into our hotel for the night in Alsip, IL, we have an entertaining evening in Chicago, IL!

Day 3:


Meals: Breakfast & Dinner

Photo Courtesy of Visit Lake Geneva Our Christmas themed morning is followed by the enchanting Gingerbread House Walk at the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa in Lake Geneva, WI. The resort features a stunning display of handcrafted gingerbread houses, both amateur and professional, beautifully arranged along the halls. The artisans are competing in themed categories for prizes, so no taste testing! After checking into our Lake Geneva, WI hotel for 2 nights, and dinner at Pier 290, we experience the magic of Lake Geneva’s annual Santa Cruise.  As the boat glides past illuminated shoreline displays, you pause at Santa’s North Pole hideaway where Santa reads the “Nice List” while festive music and holiday cheer fill the air.

Photo Courtesy of Rosewood Theater Immerse yourself in holiday cheer at the Parade of Trees in the Geneva Lake Museum, where more than 30 beautifully decorated trees, each designed by local nonprofits and businesses, transform the museum’s historic Main Street into a magical holiday stroll. At Yerkes Observatory in Williams Bay, WI, marvel at the World’s Tallest Glass Christmas Tree, a dazzling fusion of art, glassblowing, and community creativity, with optional mini tours of the historic observatory and its scenic arboretum adding to the experience. This evening, we continue our festive celebration with dinner and a heartwarming Christmas musical performance at Rosewood Dinner & Show.

Day 5:


Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

There is nothing cozier than a fire at Christmas…except a Sunday brunch and a Broadway-style production at Fireside Theatre, Fort Atkinson, WI!  Enjoy a diverse spread of sweet and savory favorites made fresh in-house in a relaxed atmosphere followed by a lively afternoon show where festive music, dazzling costumes, and joyful storytelling bring holiday cheer to life on stage. With a satisfied tummy and spirit, we overnight in Loves Park, IL.

Day 6:


Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Dressed in holiday splendor at Christmas time, the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Library in Springfield, IL houses over 12 million Illinois history and Lincoln related items with a high-tech, immersive museum showcasing life-size dioramas, multimedia presentations, and original artifacts including the Gettysburg Address and Lincoln’s glasses. The library is designed to bring Lincoln’s legacy and the Civil War era vividly to life. Our last evening together is in Collinsville, IL.

As our Christmas journey draws to a close, we return home with hearts full of joy, laughter, and the warmth of holiday memories. From Lakeside Lights and Christmas Delights shared with friends old and new, this tour has captured the true spirit of the season.
