After a short bus ride to Shreveport, LA, our morning fun begins! We will experience a place full of fascinating stories at the Municipal Auditorium with a “Louisiana Hayride Tour”, the springboard venue for many of the stars you know such as Elvis Presley and Hank Williams. Our fun is then followed by Mardi Gras shopping at Tubbs Hardware. Then, we’ll savor a delicious lunch at BeauxJax Crafthouse in Bossier City, LA, before heading to Natchitoches, LA. Here, you can enjoy a serene carriage ride with the Cane River Carriage Company and shop at the oldest hardware store in Louisiana, Kaffie-Frederick. We wrap up the evening in style at the NSU Christmas Gala, immersing ourselves in local culture and holiday spirit. We will hang our nightcaps in Natchitoches, LA, tonight.

We start our day off by heading to lovely Lafayette, LA. Today’s adventure starts with a self-guided tour of the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist. This beautifully built church has been watching over the city of Lafayette for over 200 years and is delicately decorated with intricate carvings, amazing architecture and detailed stained-glass windows. Then we delve into the local ecosystem with a swamp tour and authentic musical experience at SOKO Music. The day concludes with a stroll through the festive lights of Noel Acadien au Village, celebrating the region’s unique holiday traditions. Dreaming of sugar plums, we will rest in Lafayette, LA, for the next two nights.
