On the first day of our Christmas adventure, we head north to our overnight in St. Joseph, MO.

This morning we will make the drive over to Omaha, NE, where the festivities begin. First, we arrive where we will pick up our Step-on-Guide for a guided tour of Omaha. After our guided tour we arrive at Polish home for a Polish meal and a chance to learn about some Polish Christmas Traditions. Next, we move on to the Durham Museum where we will visit “Christmas at Union Station” and take in the enormous Christmas tree that occupies the main hall. Then, we will arrive at our hotel here in Omaha where we will be staying for the next 2 nights. However, the fun isn’t over yet. You will get an opportunity to experience a taste of Ireland at the Brazen Head Restaurant. Afterward, we will end our evening going back in time with Charles Dickens enjoying a classic holiday performance of “A Christmas Carol”.

This morning we start out with a trip to satisfy your sweet tooth at the Lithuanian Bakery, which is well known for its wonderful pastries made from recipes from the old country. Next, we will make our way to Joslyn Castle where we will see elaborate craftsmanship and wood interiors and hear the fascinating story of George & Sarah Joslyn and how the couple shared their wealth with the community. For lunch, our journey takes us to St. John’s Orthodox Church for a Christmas in Greece experience. After a Greek lunch, gather with members of the congregation and sit back and take in the sounds of Christmas carols sung in the Greek language. Before taking a rest at our hotel for the afternoon, we will travel to Ireland and stop by Boy’s Town for a chance to take in Father Flanagan’s House, decorated according to Irish Christmas Tradition. But the fun isn’t over yet because this evening we have another holiday experience that is sure to tickle your fancy. We will experience “Christmas in Germany” where we will enjoy some traditional German food as well as some German festivities.
After such an exciting day yesterday, we will have a late morning today. We will arrive at the Lauritzen Botanical Gardens to see the Holiday Poinsettia Display - an amazing display with over 700 beautiful poinsettias whilst also doing some gift shopping. After this, we will start on our way home making our way to St. Joseph, MO, for our overnight
