Day 1:

The first day of our grand adventure is set aside for traveling, getting acquainted with fellow pilgrims, and preparing for an unforgettable experience. Just sit back and relax as we make the short flight to Las Vegas, NV.Canyons Map

Day 2:

We know that flying can sometimes be tiring, and that is why we have nothing planned today. Today you are free to sleep in and rest up in Vegas, or if you are more adventurous you can venture out into the big city and spend a day exploring on your own.

Day 3:

Today we wave goodbye to Vegas, but on our way out of town, we will stop at the Hoover Dam for a tour of this man-made marvel. While here we will learn why and how this masterpiece of modern construction was made. Leaving Nevada behind, we cross into the Grand Canyon State, and arrive this afternoon in the Grand Canyon Village where we will be staying the night

Day 4:

Meals: Breakfast

Today we will get to experience the one and only Grand Canyon. As it happens, we will be seeing the Grand Canyon in style as we board the Pink Jeeps. In our open-air Jeeps, we will be making numerous stops with our knowledgeable Guide all along the South Rim Desert View Drive making our way to Navajo Point. At an elevation of 7,500 feet, Navajo Point is the highest overlook along the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Enjoy epic panoramic vistas to the west and a great view of the Desert View Watchtower. After a full and exciting morning, we will enjoy lunch before leaving the Canyon behind and landing for the night in Page, AZ.

Day 5:

Meals: Breakfast

The adventure starts early today at Upper Antelope Canyon as we take a walk through the “The Crack,” the most popular of the two slot canyons that make up Antelope Canyon. It is also the most-visited slot canyon in the American Southwest and the most-photographed in the world. Leaving Page behind we arrive in Zion National Park, where we have all afternoon here. This park holds paths traveled by ancient natives and old settlers. With the wide variety of plants and animals found in this canyon, you’re bound to create a modern memory or two of your own. After exploring the park’s majesty, we’ll head to our hotel right here in Zion National Park.

Day 6:

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

This morning our bus awaits to transport us to the almost alien landscape of Bryce Canyon National Park. Before going into the park, though, we will enjoy a delicious, included buffet lunch at Ruby’s Inn and Steakhouse. After lunch, we will head into the park. With its harsh piercing spires and deep-cut valleys, it is hard to imagine anyone being able to live here; however, this beautiful, sharp landscape was used by a variety of different people groups from the Pueblo Indians who hunted for food in the surrounding areas to Mormon pioneers who diverted water to their settlements. Who knows what memories these peaks hold? When we’re finished seeing all the sights, we’ll call it a day in Bryce Canyon City, UT

Day 7:

Meals: Breakfast

Today Making Memories will be going somewhere we’ve never gone before; today we will be driving through the vast, beautiful, and empty land of Central Utah known as Grand Staircase and Capitol Reef. The Grand Staircase National Monument spans nearly 1.87 million acres of public lands in southern Utah, this unspoiled natural area truly remains a frontier. Capitol Reef National Park, at nearly 400 square miles, and the unique geology of the area made this area a true obstacle to Western settlers. We arrive this evening in Moab, UT, where we will be staying for the next 2 nights.

Day 8:

Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

This morning, we head over to Deadhorse Point where an ever-changing landscape unfurls 2,000 feet above the Colorado River and immense vertical cliffs meet with canyons to create a visual masterpiece. Our next stop is Canyonlands National Park, a wilderness of countless canyons and fantastically formed buttes carved by the Colorado River. The final park for the day is Arches National Park. Over 2,000 naturally formed arches decorate this desert landscape. We’ll end our day with a stop at the Canyon Lands by Day and Night to tour the Colorado River by jet boat before enjoying a Cowboy-Style Dinner.

Day 9:

Meals: Breakfast

This morning we leave Utah behind, but not to worry because we have more to see in the great state of Colorado! We make our way through Colorado and arrive at the Black Canyon National Park, home to some of the steepest cliffs in America. You have a chance to walk around and take a few pictures before we make our way to Gunnison, CO, for the night.

Day 10:

Meals: Breakfast

Today we will come to our final park together. At the jaw-dropping Royal Gorge, we will actually be experiencing this gorge twice. Once from the bottom, on the incredible Royal Gorge Railroad where we will ride the train through the towering walls that soar up a thousand feet above. Then once we’ve departed the train we will ride up to the top of the Gorge and experience the Royal Gorge Bridge. Here you will be able to walk across and gaze down at the railroad tracks a thousand feet below. Leaving here we will travel to Colorado Springs, CO, where we will be staying for the night.

Day 11:

Meals: Breakfast

Today we are truly homeward bound as our bus takes us across the wide-open plains of eastern Colorado and western Kansas. Our day comes to an end as we arrive in Salina, KS, for our final night.

Day 12:

Meals: Breakfast

As we return home today, we hope you will look back at all the marvelous memories made on this trip. We look forward to seeing you on another adventure.
