pricing At Making Memories, we love to hear where our customers want to travel – and what they have on their Bucket List. We’ve been getting a lot of requests for an Alaskan Cruise. Therefore, we’ve put together an incredible adventure that takes us across the waves to the Last Frontier. This 7-day cruise takes us from Vancouver through the inside passage to Seward, then we have a 6-day land tour to see what the great state of Alaska has to offer

Day 1:

Our first day together sees us heading to our hotel this afternoon to prepare for our early morning departure tomorrow.Alaska Map

Day 2:

Our second day has us boarding our plane together and starting our journey in earnest as our flight takes us into Canada to the city of Vancouver where we will be staying the night.

Day 3:

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

We have the morning to make the short journey from our hotel to the docks, where we will be boarding. We will have the rest of the day to find our rooms, get settled and start exploring the ship.

Day 4:

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Our full day at sea takes us through the Inside Passage. You will definitely want to keep your camera handy and your eyes open because the Inside Passage is filled with stunning views and wildlife

Day 5:

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Today our ship arrives in Ketchikan. Thanks to its abundant rainfall, Ketchikan is surrounded by some of the world’s most lush wilderness. Its Tlingit Indian name, Kach Khanna, means “spread wings of the eagle.” Chances are you’ll see one of these magnificent birds perched atop a Sitka tree during your Alaska cruise to Ketchikan. There will be some optional excursions you can choose from here. Just be sure to be back to the ship in time. The boat doesn’t wait on anyone.

Day 6:

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

The next stop on our cruise, Juneau. Juneau has been called “Alaska’s peak experience,” certainly due in part to its unparalleled glacier viewing from such places as Tracy Arm Fjord, the Juneau Icefields, Glacier Bay National Park and Mendenhall Glacier

Day 7:

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

As our cruise continues north, we stop at the picturesque and quaint little town of Skagway. In a single year from 1896 to 1897, this remote town along the Inside Passage grew from a few tents to a city of 20,000 gold seekers. Today, travelers come in search of other riches – to experience yesteryear along Skagway’s charming boardwalk lined with buildings that replicate those Gold Rush days.

Day 8:

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

This morning we dock at Icy Strait Point, an enchanting cruise port that promises an unforgettable experience for all visitors. This picturesque destination offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and thrilling adventures, making it a must-visit.

Day 9:

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Today could very well be considered the highlight of our cruise as we experience Hubbard Glacier. The Hubbard Glacier is the largest tidewater glacier in North America. Its awe-inspiring, turquoise-colored face towers nearly 400 feet tall — 250 feet of which are underwater — while its icebergs are often three or four stories high. At nearly six miles wide where the ice meets the ocean and 76 miles long, viewing this massive glacial mass is an experience not soon forgotten. As you cruise near the glacier, keep an eye out for the region’s rich variety of wildlife, from bald eagles to harbor seals, orcas, and humpback whales

Day 10:

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

This morning our cruise comes to an end here in Seward, AK, but the excitement continues as we board our motorcoach and start the land portion of our adventure. We continue north, stopping at the Alaskan Wildlife Conservation Center where we can get up close to some of Alaska’s most iconic animals, such as moose, musk ox, bear, wolves and more. Next up is a real mountain-top experience as we arrive at Alyeska Resort. Here a gondola ride to the top of the mountain awaits. At the top lunch will be waiting for us. This evening we find ourselves in Anchorage for our overnight.

Day 11:

Meals: Breakfast

We won’t spend a whole lot of time in Anchorage; however, we will enjoy a step on guided tour of the city before we continue north. The Musk Ox Farm will be our next exciting stop for a close-up experience of these magnificent Paleolithic ruminants.

Day 12:

Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

This morning we continue our journey, but today we will be traveling in style on the Alaskan Railroad. Once onboard we will enjoy the dome viewing for an unforgettable view of the Last Frontier. The train ride between Talkeetna and Denali has some of the most breathtaking views in all of Alaska. This afternoon we arrive in Denali. Tonight, we will enjoy some local entertainment at the Alaska Cabin Nite Dinner Show

Day 13:

Meals: Breakfast

The last several days have been something of a whirlwind of activity and adventure, so today we are giving everybody a free day with which you can go out and spend as much or as little time as you like seeing the sights of Denali National Park

Day 14:

Meals: Breakfast

For the last time on our journey together we will once more board our coach and continue heading north. There is only one destination further north for us to go to and that is, of course, the city of Fairbanks, AK. In Fairbanks we will spend our afternoon at the Gold Dredge 8, where we can have a chance to dredge up some gold of our own. Then it’s on to the Fountainhead Antique Auto Museum

Day 15:

This will be our last day in Alaska. Our flight is planned for this afternoon so for this morning we have one more memory-making experience planned. We will take a ride on the Discovery Riverboat; this three hour tour will take you into the heart of Alaska and introduce you to a family who has made the rivers of Alaska their way of life for five generations. This afternoon we board our plane and start our long flight home

Day 16:

This has certainly been an unforgettable adventure and we are so glad you decided come make memories with us.
