Day 2:

Meals: Dinner

Our flight today brings us to Calgary, the largest city in Alberta. Upon landing we hop on a bus and will experience driving through the breath-taking Canadian Rockies to our hotel in Lake Louise Village where an included dinner awaits us.

Day 3:

Meals: Breakfast

Our first full day in the Rockies starts with Lake Louise, a jewel of the Rockies surrounded by glistening glaciers and towering snow-capped mountain peaks. You may have seen photos of the lake, but you will not be prepared for the experience of rounding the corner and getting the first sight of the emerald-green waters and the rugged peaks as a backdrop. After lunch in Lake Louise Village, we make the short drive into British Columbia to tour the stunning Yoho National Park. Which will include the Spiral Tunnels, Emerald Lake, and Natural Bridge. We return to Lake Louise for our second night here.

Day 4:

Meals: Breakfast

Travelling through the heart of the Canadian Rockies, we drive along the famous Icefields Parkway which has been voted one of the most spectacular drives in the world. You will see for yourself why this famous mountain road, with its unique landscape and natural beauty, is second to none. We arrive at the famous Columbia Icefields whose waters feed three oceans; we visit the Interpretive Centre and have the experience of a lifetime - a ride on the Ice Explorer vehicle for a close look at the Athabasca Glacier. Finally, at the end of this exciting day, we see the powerful Athabasca Falls before returning south to Banff, AB, where we will be staying the next 2 nights.

Day 5:

Meals: Breakfast

We won’t be travelling far today as we will be spending our day here in Banff. We will start with a morning tour of Banff. Banff is flanked on all sides by towering mountains, including Mount Rundle, Sulphur Mountain, Mount Norquay, and Cascade Mountain. You may see a herd of elk wandering down the main street during your early morning walk. The lively streets of downtown are lined with top-class restaurants, bars, and shops, as well as a vibrant range of art galleries and museums. After our sightseeing tour we ride the gondola up Sulphur Mountain for an unparalleled view of the mountains and valley below. The rest of the afternoon will be free for you to shop, eat and explore on your own in Banff.

Day 6:

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

This morning as we depart Banff, we will enjoy some unique routing through backroads and Kananaskis and Lougheed Provincial Parks. Our first stop for the day is at the Bar U Ranch. The Bar U Ranch is your opportunity to live like a cowboy! Ride on a wagon pulled by Percheron horses to discover the life of a ranching cowboy from the late 1800’s. Here an included lunch is awaiting us. After leaving this afternoon, we arrive in Waterton, AB, where we will be staying 2 nights. A stay in Waterton set amidst the unparalleled scenic beauty of the Canadian Rockies is the perfect unwind after our days’ adventures

Day 7:

Meals: Breakfast

This morning you need to have your passports ready as we cross into the US, in order to experience Glacier National Park, widely considered America’s most beautiful national park. Today is your chance to appreciate this dynamic landscape and diverse wildlife as we travel up the Going to the Sun Road while riding in the famous Red Jammer buses. The beautiful mountain peaks, mountain valleys and mountain lakes create a day you will never forget. This afternoon we will cross back into Canada and return to our hotel in Waterton.

Day 8:

Today we start heading back to Calgary, however we have a couple of exciting stops to make in route. First, we arrive at Remington Carriage Museum. The largest museum of its kind in the world; the Remington Carriage Museum tells the story of horse-drawn transportation in North America. The museum features interactive displays, horses, a working restoration shop, carriages, wagons, sleighs, and more. Next stop brings us to Head Smashed-In Buffalo Jump Interpretive Centre (I’m gonna call it Buffalo Jump). Through vast landscapes, exhibits, and diverse programming, you will learn from a Blackfoot Nations guide about the cultural significance of this cliff to the Plains People. Upon arriving in Calgary, we will enjoy a world class farewell dinner at the top of the Calgary Tower
