Tour Description

Your package includes deluxe transportation and accommodations, all listed tour fees, and 11 meals.

Filled with lush scenery, long shorelines, memorable monuments, and tasty treats, Door County, WI, is a place unlike any other.  Discover Door County’s long history of exploration, fishing, timber harvesting, and even cherry-picking, on this breathtaking adventure north.  Now consider this: a river cruise with such stunning scenery that people were compelled to board trains and travel several hundred miles just to get a glimpse of the grandeur they only saw in photographs. That was more than 150 years ago, and people are still traveling to this place, Wisconsin Dells, for Wisconsin River cruises.  You can tour both the Upper Dells and Lower Dells, as well as visit the House on the Rock. A place so indescribable, you must see it to believe it. This attraction is one of the coolest and strangest places on earth. This tour is a memory-making journey you are going to love!

Day 1:

Meals: Lunch

We will spend the first day of our trip getting to know each other and preparing ourselves for the memories we’re about to make. Wisconsin Dells

Day 2:

Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

This evening we’ll land at the Bridgeport Waterfront Resort to spend the next two nights. Located in Sturgeon Bay, this pleasant hotel not only provides comfy rooms but spectacular views of the open sky and crystal-blue waters as well as a one-of-a-kind fish boil feast.

Day 3:

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

This morning starts with a ferry ride as we make our way over to Washington Island. Once here, we’re going on a shopping spree at Mann’s Mercantile to pick up some handy souvenirs. After this, we visit Washington Island’s Stavkirke or Church of Staves. This architectural treasure was built to reflect the area’s Viking, Swedish, and Mormon heritage. However, Wisconsin isn’t just known for its pleasant sights. At the Lavender Farm, rows upon rows of purples lavender flowers fill the air with a pleasant and relaxing fragrance you’ll want to take with you wherever you go. With the day nearing its end, we will return to our hotel for the evening.

Day 4:

Meals: Breakfast

This morning we will stop at Koepsel’s Farm Market as well as make several scenic picture stops along Sturgeon Bay.  As we leave Door County behind, we start making our way south and by this evening we will have arrived in Wisconsin Dells country.

Day 5:

Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

Our first fun experience will be the scenic cruise along the Wisconsin River. See the peaceful, natural beauty of the Upper Dells complete with shore excursions. Visitors come here to see what is arguably and most classic of the area’s attractions – the gorges and sandstone rock formations AKA “The Dells.” There are several shops and restaurants near the boat dock where you can have free time and lunch on your own before boarding our Jet Boat tour of the Lower Dells.  What happens when you mix the excitement of a jet boat ride with the scenery of the Wisconsin Dells?  Marvelous memories are made!  We will head to our hotel after our ride, but the day isn’t over yet.  We will have a delicious dinner waiting for you at Del Bar Steakhouse, as well as an unforgettable show, The Rick Wilcox Magic Theater. Since opening their 550-seat Wisconsin Dells theater in 1999, master illusionists Rick & Suzan Wilcox have entertained & amazed thousands.

Day 6:

Meals: Breakfast

This is an extraordinary day with a visit to the remarkable House on the Rock.   As one of the coolest and strangest places on earth, there is plenty to take in.  This amazing place is home to The Infinity Room, which extends an unsupported length of 218 feet and soars 156 feet above the valley floor, the world’s largest carousel, an enormous sea creature (longer than the Statue of Liberty is tall), the Streets of Yesterday, a Japanese Garden and much, much more! There are plenty of places to have lunch before we depart for our final night in Bloomington, IL.

Day 7:

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

We will return home today, but what an exciting tour this has been! You will have many memories to share with your friends and family once you return.  Come explore with us again.
