Our search for fall colors begins today as we board
our coach and begin our trek northward. Sit back
and relax, knowing Making Memories has all the
details taken care of. We will be stopping for the night in Terre Haute, IN
Day 2:
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
There will be a surprise stop in Columbus today. Then we continue onward, drawing ever closer to the brilliant hues of red and orange. Wadsworth, OH, is where we will be stopping for the night.
Day 3:
Meals: Breakfast, Dinner
Today we mark off two more states as our journey takes us across the state of Pennsylvania and into New York. Tonight’s hotel is in Poughkeepsie, NY, right in the heart of the Hudson Valley. We will be enjoying an included dinner tonight here in Poughkeepsie.
Day 4:
Meals: Breakfast
We kick today off with a walk to remember as we walk over the Hudson River. The world’s longest elevated pedestrian walkway crosses the Hudson River in Poughkeepsie, New York. This is a sight worth seeing at more than 1.25 miles long! Hudson Valley is home to the final resting place of Franklin D. Roosevelt, and we will learn more about his presidency at his Presidential Library and Museum. Then, we continue north until we reach the Fort William Henry Museum, on the shores of Lake George this incredible British fort served a vital part in the French and Indian War. Leaving here we make our way to our hotel here in Lake George.
Day 5:

Today, be sure to have your passport ready because this is when you say goodbye to the United States and cross into Canada. We will kick off our time in Canada with a step on guide, taking us through Montreal. This old city is the second largest French-speaking city in the world (after Paris.) Find yourself immersed in the history of this great Canadian city. Our hotel tonight is here in Montreal.
Day 6:

Today we bid farewell to this old Canadian city and greet an even older Canadian city. We arrive in Quebec City for lunch, and afterward, we welcome another step-on-guide to spend the afternoon exploring this fascinating historical city. We will stay at our hotel here in Quebec City for the next two nights
Day 7:

The memory-making starts anew this morning as we make our way to the Copper Art Museum. Discover the mysterious atmosphere of a copper mine, see the copper-bearing rocks, and admire the artifacts collected from around the world. This stop includes an interactive workshop where you will create your own artwork, something you will never forget! Our next stop will be at the Shrine of Sainte-Anne De-Beaupre. This basilica is credited with numerous miracles and is visited by thousands of pilgrims every year. By now, everybody is getting hungry, so we will be heading to Montmorency Falls, where a cable car will take us to our lunch at the top of the falls. You will have some free time for the rest of the day, so make some memories!
Day 8:

Today, we arrive in Canada’s capital city, Ottawa. Here our step-on-guide will take us around the city and show us some historical landmarks while sharing with us the story of Canada’s capital. Our hotel tonight is here in Ottawa.
Day 9:
Meals: Breakfast
This is the day you have been waiting for! Today is the day we reach the 1000 Islands. First, we reach Gananoque, Canada, where we will board Gananoque Boat Line. The day will be spent on the boat taking in the scenery of countless spectacular islands. Our boat will take us to Boldt Castle, where we can explore this remarkable replica of a full-size Rhineland Castle on picturesque Heart Island. Then it’s back to Gananoque to check into our hotel where we will stay for the next two nights
Day 10:
Meals: Breakfast, Dinner
This morning, we have a chance to recuperate from a late night by sleeping in. Our first stop takes us to the 1000 Islands Tower for an impressive view of the St. Lawrence River and her islands from 400 feet in the air. Next, we will head to Kingston to see some of the city sights before joining an incredible sunset dinner cruise. What a way to see the Islands! After our dinner cruise, we head back to our hotel in Gananoque.
Day 11:

Niagara Falls is calling! We arrive early this afternoon on the Canadian side of the falls. A trip to Niagara Falls wouldn’t be complete without a boat ride into the falls, so that is the first thing on our agenda. The remainder of the afternoon is yours to do as you wish. Which is even more exciting because our hotel is within easy walking distance of the falls.
Day 12:

This morning you have a little time to check the falls before we bid adieu to Ol’ Niagara and start driving alongside Lake Erie before arriving in Wadsworth, OH, where we will stay for the nigh
Day 13:

We hit the road today for a travel day home. Take some time to unwind as we make our way to Effingham, IL, for our overnight.
Day 14:
Meals: Breakfast
Our autumn adventure comes to an end today as we arrive home. We will say goodbye to our new friends and fellow travelers. Just remember the fun may be over, but the memories will last a lifetime!
