This will be an experience you don’t want to miss as we explore each of the Great Lakes, soaking in the beauty of the land and the water. The Lakes aren’t all you will be doing, though. We have all sorts of fascinating places to take you. One thing is for sure! This is—without a doubt—the best way to experience the Great Lakes!

Day 1:

As we make our way northward, feel free to relax and meet your fellow travelers. We have a special treat in store for you this evening. Making Memories invites you to sit back and be our guest at our welcome dinner, hosted by the multi-award-winning Machine Shed Restaurant. After a delicious meal, we will make our way to our hotel for the night in West Des Moines, Iowa

We won’t be on the road long before we stop at the Eighth Wonder of the World: the SPAM Museum. You’ll be tickled pink and meaty at this expansive collection of spiced-pork articles here. This is a place you will want to get the t-shirt! After this fun stop, we’ll load back onto the bus and conclude the evening with a surprise.

Be sure you remember to bring your camera today because we are driving to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, where we have a spectacular experience set up for everyone on Lake Superior. One you won’t soon forget! A cruise along Pictured Rocks Lakeshore takes us into and alongside the most visually stunning 40 miles of shoreline on the Great Lakes! East Channel Lighthouse, Grand Island, Miner’s Castle, Painted Coves, Lover’s Leap, and many more, each with its own history and unique beauty. These are just some of the remarkable landmarks you can bask in on this incredible voyage. After our cruise, our hotel in Munising, MI, is waiting for us.

Day 4:

Four days into our tour, we keep Making Memories by exploring, engaging, and experiencing the SS Badger, which will begin our quest across Lake Michigan! On this ship, we are going to enjoy the Lake Michigan Crossing. After this lovely encounter, we will call it a day in Ludington, MI.

Day 5:

Today, we explore Lake Huron. We will take a ride on Shepler’s Mackinac Island Ferry. Once we unload from the ferry, we get a grand tour of the island and the chance to explore the island for ourselves! As the day winds down, we will reboard our ferry and head back to the mainland and our hotel in Mackinaw City.

We’ve arrived in a little town known as Frankenmuth, MI, where we will stay for the evening. If you’re unfamiliar with this little town, you should know that Frankenmuth is called Little Bavaria, which is truly a beautiful little town. Here we will tour the city together to discover authentic Bavarian architecture and why they take pride in preserving their German heritage. You will have multiple opportunities to make some memories on this fine day!

We continue our adventure together, and before long, we come to our first stop for the day. We will be visiting the Henry Ford Museum! If you’re a car enthusiast, you’re going to love this. And even if you’re not a car lover, you can’t help but be impressed by this remarkable place. Henry Ford proclaimed that this museum, which opened in 1929, would show how the inventions of a few forever changed America. We leave here to continue our adventure, and we will be overnighting tonight in Ontario.

Today we will take a lunch cruise on the beautiful Lake Ontario overlooking the skyline of Toronto. From here we head to our hotel. Our hotel will actually be within and easy walking distance of the one and only Niagara Falls. What a way to end the day

Before we begin our journey home, there are still a few things we need to do first. Firstly we need to experience one of the wonders of the world! That’s right folks we’re going to see Niagara Falls up close and personal on the famous Maid of the Mist. This might seem like a full incredible day by itself however, we’re not done yet because—of course—there is still one more lake to discover. This evening, we have another spectacular dinner for you: a summer dinner cruise on Lake Erie! See the red, yellow, and orange tones of the fiery sunset reflect upon the verdant green, glasslike waters of Lake Erie. We know you’re going to have a fantastic day
