History is full of great mysteries, one of which is the adventure of Noah’s Ark. For years, people from every facet of life have weighed in on the nature of the story. This massive structure was an architectural marvel at 510 feet long, 51 feet high, and 85 feet wide. The Ark Encounter reconstruction is based on the dimensions provided in the Bible. It is among the largest wooden vessels recorded in history and is close to the maximum size believed to be possible for wooden ships to float. You will be amazed by this spectacular replica, with three stories of impressive displays showing what life must have been like on the giant boat. Day 1:

Filled with anticipation, we start our journey and make huge strides toward our destination. We’ll end our first day in Kuttawa, KY. map

Day 2:

Our morning is filled with travel, but our afternoon activity is a Making Memories favorite. The whinnies and whickers of former champions welcome you to the Old Friends Retired Horse Farm in Georgetown, KY! This farm is home to over 175 retired and rescued horses living on 136 acres. The Old Friends Retired Horse Farm is where champions can ease into retirement from their impressive careers as racehorses. On your interactive tour through the farm, you’ll learn about the extraordinary lives and careers of these former athletes. We’ll end the day with a quiet dinner and restful sleep at a local hotel.

Day 3:

Meals: Breakfast

We start today at The Creation Museum, where unique artifacts and incredible anomalies in the fossil record will raise more than a few questions and provide an excellent conversation starter for lunch. After our museum exploration, we will visit the magnificent Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption. From majestic, vaulted ceilings to the world’s largest church stain glass window, it is no wonder this glorious cathedral is known as the Sign of Hope. After a day of education and art, we get some beauty rest at a local hotel.

Day 4:

Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

Today is the day! Step into the pages of the Bible at The Ark Encounter. Amish craftsmen helped create this modern engineering marvel. Meticulous detail went into the numerous full-scale re-creations of the life inside this three-story artistic and colossal achievement. We leave the pages of the Bible to enter the thrills of Broadway for our evening meal! Three cheers for the Derby Dinner Playhouse! Enjoy a delicious feast as the actors immerse visitors in some of Broadway’s best.

As the big red bus starts homeward, we reminisce with our new friends before going to our hotel for the night.
