If you are looking to make “Memories,” then this next venture is one you will not want to miss. Towering Mountains, crystal lakes and bubbling hot springs, all interspersed throughout vast panoramic mountain vistas. From the Great Plains to Glaciers, this journey takes us to some of the most stunning National Parks on the continent.

Day 1:

Today, you will have time to get acquainted with your new friends as we travel to Lincoln, Neb.

Day 2:

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Our travels continue west as we start making our way across the Cornhusker state. We’ll be stopping at the Kearney Archway to learn about the pioneers who traveled west before us (albeit much more slowly). While here, we will also enjoy a catered BBQ lunch before continuing on our quest to reach the mountains.  We will be stopping for the night just over the state line in Torrington, Wyo.

Day 3:

Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

In order to reach our first National Park, we must cross the vast open state of Wyoming. We will be making a quick stop in the town of Thermopolis, an interesting little town in central Wyoming famous for its hot springs. This evening, we arrive in Cody Wyo. Here we will be enjoying dinner and a show at the Cody Cattle Company before we head over to watch the famous Cody Rodeo tonight.

Day 4:

Meals: Breakfast

Today, we reach Yellowstone National Park. As this is the first National Park on our adventure, it is appropriate that we will be stopping at the first National Park ever founded in America. Yellowstone is a wonder, featuring dramatic canyons, alpine rivers, lush forest, hot spring and gushing geysers.  Not only is it filled with dramatic geologic marvels it is also teeming with wildlife, wolves, bears, bison and elk. Our day will be spent exploring the park with our knowledgeable Step-On Guide who will take us through the park to see some of her most spectacular sights.  We will be overnighting tonight in West Yellowstone, Mont.

Day 5:

Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

One thing about Yellowstone is that it actually takes more than one day to see it all, so this morning, we will head back into the park to see the sights we missed yesterday. We will be leaving the park this afternoon and heading north to Butte, Mont. where we will be staying the night as well as enjoying an included dinner at the Rib and Chop House.

Day 6:

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Our travels take us deep into Big Sky Country. This morning, our first activity in Montana awaits us. Here we will experience a boat cruise on the Missouri River.  On both sides of the river, limestone cliffs soar to heights of over 1200 feet. Meriweather Lewis first described this particular stretch of the river, dubbing it the Gate of the Mountains. We continue north to our hotel for the night in East Glacier Park Village.

Day 7:

Meals: Breakfast

We wake up today to the glacier-carved peaks and valleys of Glacier National Park, noted to be one of America’s most beautiful national parks! Take some time to appreciate this dynamic landscape and diverse wildlife as we make our way up the Going to the Sun Road while riding in the famous Red Jammer buses.  Departing Glacier National Park, we will be continuing north until we say goodbye to the U.S. and cross into Canada. Our hotel tonight will be in Cranbrook, British Columbia.

Day 8:

Meals: Breakfast

Be sure to have your cameras ready! Today we see the crystal blue waters of Lake Louise before traveling through the jaw-dropping mountain scenery of Icefields Parkway. Continuing northward, we stop in Jasper, Alta., where we will be spending the next two nights.

Day 9:

Meals: Breakfast

The adventures this morning begin in Jasper with a guided tour of Maligne Canyon.  On this excursion, we’ll learn about the history of the Maligne Valley, its carved landscape and the “disappearing” Medicine Lake. Prepare for more spectacular views on a cruise of Lake Maligne. This ride takes us over the sparkling Maligne Lake to the panoramic views of Spirit Island. After that, you’ll have some free time to check out the other activities Jasper offers.

Day 10:

Meals: Breakfast

As we make our way back down the Icefields Parkway to Banff, we have a special event planned for everybody. We will be stopping at the Columbia Icefields Parkway Discovery Center. Here, you’ll travel on a massive Ice Explorer to a place where you can walk on, feel and even drink from the Athabasca Glacier.  Following this amazing experience, we’ll continue back south until we land in Banff, Alta., where you will have some free time to explore this stunning mountain town.

Day 11:

Meals: Breakfast

Our day begins with breakfast and a drive over to Heritage Park Historical Village, the largest living history museum in Canada. This Historical Village is full of re-creations and actors ready to show you the history of how the first settlers lived here. Leaving here, we begin heading east and homeward as we spend the afternoon crossing over to Saskatchewan to our hotel tonight in Swift Current.

Day 12:

Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

This morning, we start south and soon find ourselves crossing back into the U.S. This afternoon has us traveling through North Dakota to the quaint, colorful frontier town of Medora where we will be overnighting. Before getting some rest, enjoy the delightful Pitchfork Fondue and the Medora Musical!

Day 13:

Meals: Breakfast

We leave Medora to explore the rugged Badlands of the Great Plains at the Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Keep your cameras in hand because this 110-square-mile reserve is home to a variety of amazing American animals, including curious prairie dogs, crying elks and bellowing bison. Our travels continue across North Dakota to the Jamestown Frontier Village, an open-air, living history museum. Afterward, we’ll head toward Fargo, N.D. for tonight’s lodgings.

Day 14:

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Our travels continue into Sioux Falls, S.D., where we take a short break to visit the roaring Triple Water Falls on the Big Sioux River. After lunch, we continue to Council Bluffs, IA for our last night together.

Day 15:

Meals: Breakfast

We end our tour with the awe-inspiring grandeur of the National Forests etched into our memories.
