Tour Description

Your package includes airfare, deluxe transportation and accommodations, all listed tour fees, and 10 meals.

So many of the famous sights you've seen in pictures can be found in the storied lands of the Latins, and thus, what better place to make some memories. Throughout the world’s history, no country can claim to have had so great an impact on the world as the land of the Romans. Architecture, language, governments, art and countless other modern elements in our world come directly from this area. And so, we go to see such wonders as the Coliseum, the floating city of Venice, the Sistine Chapel and many more as we explore the treasures of Italy!

Day 1:

Before we can begin our tour of Italy, we have to fly there, and before we can fly there, we have to make our way to the airport.  So today, we will load up and get to know our fellow travelers as we find ourselves at the hotel next to the airport for our flight tomorrow.

Day 2:

Meals: Breakfast

Today is the big day! Today we board our plane and begin our flight across the pond back to the old country.

Day 3:

We will be landing this morning in the historic and beautiful City of Bridges (Venice). Upon our arrival here, we find ourselves whisked off to our hotel in the heart of Venice where we will be spending the next two nights. The rest of the day you have the option of either going out and exploring on your own or you can take some time this afternoon to relax and recuperate from our flight.

Day 4:

Meals: Breakfast

This day starts off with a guided walking tour in Venice. Here we get to take in some of the most famous sights of the city, including admission to St. Marks Basilica, one of the most beautiful cathedrals in the entire world.  The rest of the day is yours to do as you please. Walk the streets. Enjoy a boat ride through the canals. Devour some local cuisine. Or, just enjoy the scenery

Day 5:

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

This morning, we hop into one of Venice’s famous boats and take a little cruise from our hotel to the other side of the city where we hop off our boat and into our coach for the next week. As we say goodbye to Venice, we find ourselves arriving in the stunning old city of Bologna where we will be taking part in a guided walking tour of this classic Italian city. We also have delicious lunch here in the city planned for us.  Departing Bologna, we continue making our way through the heart of Italy until we arrive in the capital of Italy’s Tuscany region, Florence, where we will be spending the next two nights.

Day 6:

Meals: Breakfast

Our adventure continues in Florence as we move forward this morning with a guided walking tour of the old city, where we will be taking in some of the most famous and beautiful sights of the city. We’re also going to have the opportunity to enjoy some of the local flavors at the Central Market.

Day 7:

Meals: Breakfast

Our time in Florence comes to an end this morning as we depart this old city and head towards an even older one. That’s right folks!  We end our day the ancient Rome.  However, en route, we’ll be stopping in Siena for a guided tour. Set in the hills of Tuscany, this stunning old-world city is renowned for its beauty, and here, we will be enjoying a tasting of some of Tuscany’s world-famous wines.

Day 8:

Meals: Breakfast

Today could be the highlight of this adventure as we will be spending the day together exploring the sights, sounds and tastes of the Eternal City: Rome.  Today, we’ll see the Coliseum, Palatine Hill, the Imperial Forums and much, much more. One thing is for sure, you are definitely going to want to bring your camera today. We’ll be overnighting again in Rome tonight.

Day 9:

Meals: Breakfast

One thing about Rome is that there is far too much to see here in just one day; therefore, we have another day in the city of seven hills. Today, we’ll be going to the Vatican to see the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica. After we’ve taken in the sights of the Holy See, we hop on our coach start towards the Amalfi Coast. With sheer cliffs and a rugged shoreline dotted with small beaches and pastel-colored fishing villages, this is a must-see destination.  We’ll be overnighting tonight in Naples.

Day 10:

Meals: Breakfast

Today, we enjoy a panoramic drive along the rugged Amalfi Coast filled with picturesque stops. We’ll also be enjoying some refreshing local Limoncello before returning to our hotel in Naples.

Day 11:

Meals: Breakfast

This morning we say, “Arrivederci” to Italia, as we board our plane and begin our journey westward back to America.
