Experience the magic of Christmas on this journey as we experience the wonder of Christmas. Brilliant light displays,. mouth-watering cuisine, and of course holiday shopping. Join us for all this and more as we take in the flavors of traditional holiday meals,  as well as the tradition of Christkindlmarkt.

Day 1:

We turn on the Christmas Spirit as we begin our awesome tour. We end our leisurely travel day in St. Charles, Mo.  A beautiful old town that goes all out for the Holidays.  In downtown St. Charles you will be transported to a world of Yuletide nostalgia.

Day 2:

Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

We say goodbye to St. Charles this morning and make a short drive over to St. Louis where we will have a mystery stop here. Leaving St. Louis we continue east until we arrive in Jasper Ind. Here in Jasper, we have a real treat planned this evening as we head to dinner at Schnitzelbank for some traditional German fare served family-style. But it gets even better because we will also be enjoying some special holiday entertainment with our meal.

Day 3:

Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

Upon departing our hotel this morning we will find ourselves at a truly fascinating destination. Dr. Ted’s Musical Marvels is a one-of-a-kind museum that offers a colossal collection of restored mechanical musical instruments from around the world.  Here you have the chance to ’step back in time’ and marvel at the ingenuity of these mechanical wonders. The next stop on our holiday adventure will find us at the Dubois County Museum, known as one of the largest county museums in the state of Indiana, this museum showcases the rich German heritage and history of the Dubois County area. Our day comes to a close this evening in Indianapolis where we will be enjoying some more Christmas entertainment at Beef and Boards Dinner Theatre.

Day 4:

Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

If you happen to be an avid shopper then this day is definitely for you. The Christkindlmarket unites cherished German and European traditions with international flair and local charm. Inspired by the 16th-century Christkindlesmarkt in Nuremberg, Germany, one of the first outdoor markets of its kind, the Christkindlmarket is well-known for its vendors’ high-quality gifts and food, holiday cheer, and for being the ideal place to make unique memories.  This incredible shopping experience is not something you will ever forget. Leaving here we make our way north where an included dinner is waiting for us at the last authentic Polish Restaurant in Milwaukee.

Day 5:

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Today is an exciting day as we have something special in store today. This morning we load up on our bus and meet our step-on guide for the day. Our guide is going to be with us all day as we go all over the city of Milwaukee visiting local bakeries and shops, at each stop we will receive treats and samples of the local food.  In route to each stop, our guide will be giving a full history of the Christmas holiday traditions of local Polish, Germans, Italians, Irish and more.  For lunch today we head over to Mader’s German Restaurant for some traditional German food.  After lunch, we head over to the Pabst Mansion to see how this mansion from the 1800s was decorated for the holidays. We are overnighting here in Milwaukee for a second night.

Day 6:

Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

Today we begin our journey back south, however, we will be stopping today in Chicago to check out the world-famous Field Museum. This particular Museum is one of the largest of its kind in the world and houses everything from ancient cultures to the last modern discoveries. After spending plenty of time here we continue southward to a very special location.  Hardy’s Reindeer Ranch is where you can meet these friendly, beautiful animals and hear the “clickity click” of their hooves. This evening we will enjoy a chuckwagon style and dinner as well as entertainment.

Day 7:

Meals: Breakfast

Alas, all good things come to an end and so say goodbye to all the new friends we’ve made. However, now that we’ve gotten into the Christmas Spirit we can return to our families filled with good cheer.
