Day 1:

Meals: Dinner
As the first day on our journey together you have today to meet your fellow travelers as we make our way northward. We have a special treat in store for you this evening. Making Memories invites you to sit back, relax and be our guest at our welcome dinner hosted by multiple-award-winning, Machine Shed Restaurant. After a delicious meal we will make our way to our hotel for the night in West Des Moines, Iowa.

Day 2:

Meals: Breakfast
We won’t be on the road long before we stop for a special treat at the Eighth Wonder of the World, the SPAM Museum. Here you’ll be tickled pink, and meaty, at this expansive collection of the spiced-pork artifacts. This is a place you want to get the t-shirt! After this fun stop, we load back on the bus for an early evening arrival at our hotel in Duluth, Minnesota. Tonight you can rest or burn off energy walking alongside Lake Superior – you choose how to spend your evening.

Day 3:

Meals: Breakfast
Today is indeed a glorious day as we arrive at the largest freshwater lake in the world, Lake Superior. So kick back and enjoy the grand sightseeing cruise on this remarkable Lake. There is so much to see on this truly superior lake! Whether you’re a nature enthusiast, history buff, lighthouse connoisseur, or a lover of waterfalls you will find something to love on this massive body of water. As we arrive at our hotel this evening in Weston, Wisconsin, be sure to get a good night’s rest because there is more excitement and more fun on the way.

Day 4:

Meals: Breakfast
Four days into our tour, we keep Making Memories by exploring, engaging and experiencing time at the Wisconsin Maritime Museum. Here is the nation’s most restored WWII submarine and a Model Ship Gallery. This museum has been awarded 2014 Certificate of Excellence by TripAdvisor. You can be assured Making Memories goes the extra mile to line-up unique and quality stops for you to enjoy. The afternoon includes a ferry ride on the largest cross-lake passenger service, an authentic steamship experience with an outside deck you can utilize and enjoy crossing Lake Michigan in this special way. Overnight in Ludington, Michigan.

Day 5:

Meals: Breakfast
Ahoy! Today is a spectacular day as we slow down and really enjoy the environment. We will not only be treated to a ferry ride on Lake Huron, but also the memorable Mackinac Island for a tour and free time in this beautiful island get-away where no cars are allowed. After free time, we ferry back across to overnight in Mackinaw City, Michigan.

Day 6:

Meals: Breakfast / Lunch
Today we arrive in a little town known as Frankenmuth, Michigan where we will stay for the evening. Now if you’re not familiar with this little town, you should know: Frankenmuth is called Little Bavaria and it is truly a beautiful little town. Here we will have a tour of the city together to discover authentic Bavarian architecture and why they take pride in preserving the German heritage. You’ll have the afternoon to explore on your own, so you walk around, eat or shop. Also fun fact, have you heard of Christmas in July? You can experience it today at Bronner’s CHRISTmas Wonderland. Henry Ford proclaimed that this museum, which opened in 1929, would show how the inventions of a few, had forever changed America. We leave here to continue our adventure and we will be overnighting tonight in Brantford, Ontario, Canada.

Meet our step-on guide for a guided tour of the falls area, and even have a little free time for some shopping. And just when you thought the day couldn’t get any better, it does. We have even more in store. The evening treat is dinner at the exquisite Niagara Falls Skylon Tower, a revolving dining room where the menu is rivaled only by the spectacular view. This will be a day you’ll never forget! Lodging will be at Niagara Falls, Ontario.
