Day 1:
Today we’re heading out westward and fast; in fact we’ll be flying. Our flight will take us to Las Vegas airport. Upon landing we will reach our hotel in the Las Vegas area. This gives you the rest of the evening to refresh and rest up for the remainder of our exiting journey ahead.
Day 2:
Meals: Breakfast / Dinner
Today the real adventure begins as we make our way to the famous Death Valley National Park, Nevada. As America’s hottest, driest, and lowest national park, Death Valley is a land of extremes from flat desert to towering peaks that are frosted with winter snow, and rare rainstorms that bring vast fields of wildflowers. Our resort awaits us; The Furnace Creek Resort is situated in a lush oasis surrounded by the vast and arid desert of Death Valley. You have all day today to explore and see what all this arid and beautiful land has to offer. We will be having dinner tonight at Stovepipe Wells, afterwards returning back to the resort.
Day 3:
Meals: Breakfast
Today we make our way to San Diego; however, we have a couple of exciting stops along the way. First we’ll be visiting the Casa Romantica, located in beautiful San Clemente. San Clemente is one of the first master-planned cities in California. Co-founder Ole Hanson came to the site to create his ideal community, a “Spanish Village by the Sea.” Hanson built the Casa Romantica as his family home, an expression of his version of the California dream. After you’ve stretched your legs and enjoyed this guided tour, we depart and make our way to hop on the Coaster Train. This beautiful train provides breathtaking coastal scenery as it runs north and south, taking us to our hotel in San Diego, California for the next three nights.
Day 4:
Meals: Breakfast / Dinner
Famous for its miles and miles of white-sand beaches and amazing weather, San Diego offers an abundance of fun attractions. This fine day we’ll pick up our local guide who will spend the day with us sharing his insider knowledge of this amazing city, as we discover the historic sights of Old Town, Balboa Park, Downtown, Coronado and La Jolla. After dinner at the famous “Casa Guadalajara”, this evening you have some free time for exploring on your own in Old Town before we return to our hotel for the night.
Day 5:
Meals: Breakfast
Today is entirely yours. That’s right folks there are no rules today! Who knows what your choice will be…Old Town, Downtown, the Beaches, or Coronado. Maybe you would prefer to take it easy and spend the day relaxing on the white sand beaches. If you want help with directions or ideas on how to spend your free time let us know. Whatever you do, have fun and make some memories.
Day 6:
Meals: Breakfast / Lunch / dinner
Get your passport ready! Today our adventure takes us across into Baja namely to the city of Mexicali, Old Mexico. Mexicali is known as “the city that captured the sun” and is surrounded by valleys and farmland, famous for its agriculture. For years this unique gem in northern Mexico was populated by more Chinese than Mexicans; it is a unique world that combines Chinese pagodas with Mexican pueblos, both cultures side by side. Our guide will take us on a fascinating tour of this city; seeing the historic district through the hidden basements and tunnels of La Chinesca (old china town). You can’t leave Mexicali if you haven’t tried one of the typical dishes, (Chinese food) considered one of the best in all Mexico because of their heritage and Chinese traditions. We will have time for shopping before leaving Mexico. After this exciting tour we head back to California for our overnight in El Centro.
Day 7:
Meals: Breakfast / Dinner
Today were going to see and learn about an amazing and just plain bizarre treasure in Arizona. If this doesn’t peak your interest, I don’t know what will. We are going to view and walk across the London Bridge. How did the world-famous London Bridge come to make its unusual home in Arizona? This is a fascinating story and we’re going to learn all about it. One thing is definitely clear… this something you won’t ever forget. After this strange historical stop, we make our way north to our overnight back in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Day 8:
Meals: Breakfast
This amazing trip comes to an end as we board our plane to take us home. Today is a day of goodbyes and of reflecting on all you’ve seen on this wonderful journey. We hope you have made some friends and have a new perspective of the unexpected beauties of the sunny southwest. ”hasta la vista”
