Tour Description

There are so many unbelievable highlights in this tour: Amsterdam, Cologne, Rudesheim, Drosselgasse, Mannheim, Strasbourg … and maybe the most enjoyable of all will be the relaxing cruise on the Rhine River with their beautiful views and historical scenes along the way.

(Saturday October 8th) Day 1:

We board our flight on Saturday, October 8, 2016; and arrive in Amsterdam, Netherlands on Sunday, October 9th, 2016 losing a full day in travel before we begin our tour.

(Sunday October 9th) Day 2:

There’ll be time to settle comfortably in your cabins before meeting the crew during a welcome cocktail presentation. Dinner on board followed by a tour of the enchanting city at night on board a river boat. (D)

(Monday October 10th) Day 3:

Guided tour of the historic heart of Amsterdam. In the afternoon, we will visit Volendam and the Zaanse Schans. Free evening or possibility of an (optional) trip in the city center for a walk in the Red Light District (pay on board). Sailing during the night to Nijmegen. (B.L.D)

(Tuesday October 11th) Day 4:

Guided visit of the Kroller-Muller Museum. This museum is home to the paintings of famous painters (Van Gogh, Picasso…), and modern sculptures. In the afternoon, cruise to Krefeld. Overnight. (B.L.D)

(Wednesday October 12th) Day 5:

Morning spend cruising to Cologne. In the afternoon, discovery of the old town with our accompanist. Cruise continues to Konigswinter. Free evening. Overnight. (B.L.D)

(Thursday October 13th) Day 6:

Morning spent sailing along the romantic Rhine Valley. Passing through the legendary Lorelei rock and many castles. Arrival in Rudesheim. Excursion (included). Free evening in the lively Drosselgasse, world famous for its open-air restaurants and beer taverns. Overnight. (B.L.D)

(Friday October 14th) Day 7:

Morning spend sailing to Mannheim. In the afternoon, excursion by coach to visit Heidelberg, symbol of German Romanticism. We return to our ship for a wonderful evening awaiting you at the Captain’s Gala Dinner. Cruise to Strasbourg. Overnight. (B.L.D)

(Saturday October 15th) Day 8:

We will enjoy breakfast on our ship before we disembark. We will spend the day in Strasbourg with a guided walking tour of the city, and a boat ride that circles around the city. Farewell dinner (included). Overnight. (B.D)
